What's Happened/Happening

We're very pleased that we have been invited by Realcomm to lead an all-day track at the Realcomm 2009 Summit Conference in Chicago next June. We'll have a more formal announcement shortly, but we urge you to put June 23-24 on your calendars and come join us for an in-depth look at the changing nature of work and its implications for workplace design and location strategies. Our track is tentatively titled "REboot, Rethink, Redesign:  the Future of Work in an Age of Uncertainty." Hope to see you there.

We also continue to travel regularly on private business with individual clients. If we're in your area and have a few minutes, we'd love to see you for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or "refreshments" any time after 5 PM local time (you know what that means . . .).

Give us a shout or send us a note, and if we can squeeze out some time, we'd love to say hello and share some good ideas the old-fashioned way:  face-to-face, glass in hand.

Here's what's on our calendars right now:

February 2009

  • We'll be in Long Beach, California, working with a client, from February 9 to 12.

Longer Term

  • March 31 through April 2 we'll be in Vancouver, British Columbia, for the IFMA Corporate Real Estate Council meeting at the 2009 IFMA Industries Forum. We'll be leading a session tentatively titled "Corporate Agility and the Future of Real Estate."
  • On April 28 at the CoreNet Global Summit in Dallas we'll be leading a panel discussion focused on a case study of an organization transitioning to a more distributed/flexible workforce – and realizing increased productivity, an ROI above 40%, and enhanced employee engagement. You really shouldn't miss this ground-breaking story.
  • June 23-24 we'll be in Chicago leading a full-day track on the future of work at the RealComm Summit 2009 North America (at the Hyatt Regency). There will shortly be a more detailed announcement about the track and our partnership with RealComm on our blog.
