The World Congress on the Future of Work

In March of 2004 we convened the first World Congress on the Future of Work. Hosted by the City and County of San Francisco, this unique event brought together a small group of thought leaders and practitioners for two days of conversation about the issues and challenges facing society as we move fully into the information-based economy and abandon industrial-age models of work, management, and organization.

The Second World Congress was held in April, 2005, hosted in Philadelphia by the General Services Administration. Herman Miller is our premier partner and sponsor of World Congress events; in 2005 Spherion and Francis Cauffman Foley Hoffmann Architects were also World Congress sponsors.

Future of Work Agenda

In 2003 we launched Future of Work Agenda, a monthly electronic newsletter of research reports and articles, case studies, and news from around the world about the changing nature of work and the workplace.
